What are the academic and professional requirements?
Receive a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
Complete an accredited supervised practice program, for typically 6 to 12 months, at a health-care facility, community agency or a foodservice corporation or combined with undergraduate or graduate studies.
Pass a national examination administered by the Commission of Dietetic Registration.
Complete continuing professional educational requirements to maintain registration.
